Terms and Conditions

Under which goods are accepted for collective sale by auction of furniture and effects.

Note: The Auctioneers will NOT accept for sale: beds, useless items, old gas or electrical appliances, poor quality and faulty items etc. whether they appear on the entry form or not and any costs incurred in their disposal will be charged to the Vendor.

Commission and Expenses
10% of the total realised. There is a minimum charge of £1 per lot. These charges are subject to VAT at the current rate.

Buyers Premium
Will be charged at 15% to include VAT

Delivery to Place of Sale
The Vendor is requested to make the necessary arrangements to ensure goods are delivered to the place of sale on the monday prior to the sale day between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

The Auctioneers will be pleased to make the arrangements for the collection of goods with local Removal Contractors if requested and these charges will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale.

Reserve Prices
All items sent will be sold without reserve and will be sold to the highest bidder unless a reserve price is entered against the item on the entry form. Reserve prices of less than £5 cannot be considered.

Lotting
The Auctioneers act throughout as Agents only and are not responsible for any default by the buyer.

Unsold Lots
Lots which are bought in or fail to reach their reserve price must be removed from the sale room on the day of sale, otherwise they will be removed by a Contractor. The Vendor will be charged at the rate of £1 per lot on unsold goods.

Entries
The entry form should be submitted as early as possible.

Accounts
Payments are made by cheque through the post, together with a statement which should be checked.
